Important Notice

Reminder that student drop-off and pick-up are done at the back of the school from 8:15 am - 8:40 am and from 3:00 pm - 3:15 pm. The front entrance is not be used except when students arrive before or are being picked up after the bell and are accompanied by a parent. Thank you for your cooperation.

John Paul II Catholic School

John Paul II is a Catholic school located in Port Alberni. We offer Kindergarten to Grade Seven. We have a Mini-Miracles Family Centre on site which offers morning and afternoon Preschool and Afterschool Care, Group daycare and Infant/Toddler care.

Protecting the Canada Summer Jobs Programs

On Thursday, January 25, 2018, with ecumenical and interfaith organizations, the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) organized a news conference at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Toronto.  Present at the news conference were His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins; Mr. Bruce Clemenger, President of The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada; Rabbi Chaim Strauchler of Shaarei Shomayim Congregation, Toronto; Imam Refaat Mohamed of the Canadian Council of Imams; and others from faith communities who had received funding in the past through the Canada Summer Jobs program.
