 Local School Council

The Local School Council is a vital part of the JPII family.

The purpose of the School Council is to act as a decision making body for the school and to give advice to the principal. Its members consist of a combination of parents and parishioners.  Our parish priest and school principal are ex officio members.

The Local School Council is responsible to the Board of Directors for the Diocese of Victoria. The Parents' Auxiliary is responsible to the Local School Council.

Members are elected at the Annual Public Meeting in May. Regular meetings are held monthly. Portfolios include: chairperson, vice-chairperson, finance, secretary, personnel, marketing, buildings/grounds, and fundraising.

We are grateful for the Local School Council's contribution to our school community.

Testimonials
I feel very blessed and fortunate that my children are able to go to a school like John Paul II. I know they are getting the best education both academically and spiritually.

I like how this school is better than other schools because we have lots of sports and Spirit Days. John Paul II has the best teachers and there is no bullying.
